Enjoy A Weekend Of Cajun Music And Cajun Food

Make your weekend extra special by heading first to the Cajun-Zydeco Festival at Armstrong Park and then over to Mulate’s in the Warehouse District for some authentic Cajun food. Mulate’s is famous for preserving and celebrating the food, music and culture found in the small towns and along the bayous of South Louisiana.

2018 Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival

Come and join us for the 2018 Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival on Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24. It’s the 12th annual edition of New Orleans’ only festival that features exclusively Cajun and zydeco music. The festival takes place Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24, in Armstrong Park in downtown New Orleans. Admission is free.

Once again, we’ll present a stellar lineup that includes many of Louisiana’s most beloved Cajun and zydeco performers. Newly-crowned Grammy winners (and CZF regulars) The Lost Bayou Ramblers will headline the festival this year, as will Grammy nominee Dwayne Dopsie & the Zydeco Hellraisers.

We also have a special focus this year on “trail ride” music, featuring the hot zydeco popular on the bridle paths of southwest Louisiana: Li’l Nathan & the Zydeco Big Timers, Chris Ardoin & NuStep and Corey Ledet & His Zydeco Band, all of them hot on the trail riding circuit, will be among this year’s performers.

As always, we’ll have great seafood, a large arts market, activities for kids and lots of misting fans to keep everyone cool.
