Ingredients

  • 8 pork chops, each 1/2 inch thick

  • 1 tbsp. Mulate’s Cajun Seasoning

  • 2 tbsp. peanut oil

  • 1 large onion, diced

  • 1 small bell pepper, diced

  • 2 cups uncooked rice

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 1 tsp. black pepper

  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

  • 4 cups water or chicken broth

Directions

Season pork chops with Cajun seasoning. In a dutch over, heat oil and brown pork chops. When chops are browned, remove them from the pot. Add onion and bell pepper and cook until golden brown. Add rice ans saute for about 2-3 minutes. add dry seasoning and water, mix well. Place pork chops on top and bring to a boil. Turn heat to low and cook until rice is done. Serves 4.
