Refreshing Summer Cocktails

hurricane Recipe - MulatesThe Dog Days of Summer are here and there is nothing better than cooling down by the pool with a refreshing summer cocktail. But are you tired of the same old cocktails during this time of year? Here are three of Mulate’s favorite drinks with a Cajun twist. They are easy to make, look and taste great, and will surely be a success at your next  summer party.

Louisiana Lemonade

  • 1 shot lemon rum

  • Splash grenadine

  • Splash sour mix

  • Lemonade

  • Cherries for garnish

Fill a 12-oz. glass with ice. Add rum, grenadine, and sour mix. Fill with lemonade, and mix. Garnish with cherries.

Plantation Tea

  • 1/2 shot lemon rum

  • 1/2 shot orange vodka

  • Splash melon liqueur

  • Splash sour mix

  • Cola

  • Ginger ale

Fill a 12-oz. glass with ice. Add rum, vodka, melon liqueur, and sour mix. Fill with cola and ginger ale.

Hurricane

  • 1/2 shot 151 rum

  • 1/2 shot rum

  • Splash melon liqueur

  • Orange juice

  • Hurricane mix

Fill a 12-oz. glass with ice. Add both rums and melon liqueur, and sour mix. Fill with orange juice and Hurricane mix.
