New Orleans has many treasures from its beautiful architecture to its great food, but did you know that we have a wonderful zoo?
The Audubon Zoo is located in historic Uptown New Orleans Audubon Zoo and offers an exotic mix of animals from around the globe, engaging educational programs, hands-on animal encounters and lush gardens. The zoo offers a wonderful experience for people of all ages and is definitely a New Orleans treasure.
One of the zoo’s biggest fundraisers is coming Friday, May 5, 2017, and it is called the Zoo-To-Do. The event starts at 7pm until midnight and features over 70 New Orleans restaurants, a luxury car raffle, premium cocktails, and a silent auction! Mulate’s, The Original Cajun Restaurant, is supporting the Audubon Zoo – Zoo-To-Do gala and is one of the many restaurants participating. In addition to great food and cocktails, you can also enjoy music from this years headlining band, Jessie’s Girls, along with many other live musicians.
What makes this night so special is that you get to see and meet many of the animals starting with the flamingos at the entrance to party and the zoo. You can sit around the elephant fountain and enjoy a glass of champagne and some of the tasty bites offered throughout the evening. It will certainly be a magical evening and we hope that you will stop by the Mulate’s station throughout the evening and try some of our Cajun Creations.
