New Orleans is one of the most popular destinations for Halloween and there are a lot of events going on this weekend. One of the largest parties happening this entire weekend is Halloween New Orleans (HNO) benefiting Project Lazarus. There are lots of things happening all weened for HNO, but the main event takes place Saturday at the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) starting at 10pm.
Pirate’s Revenge: The Curse of Jean LaFitte is the main event for Halloween New Orleans. There will be a costume contest, stage parade, VIP Host Lounge, and entertainment by DJ Grind with an opening set by DJ Will Lowe. The mission of the Hosts of Halloween is to provide funding for Project Lazarus, a home in New Orleans for men and women with AIDS, so that they may provide healthcare and support services for their residents. If you are a big kid and you like to dress up for Halloween, there is no better place to be than New Orleans for this event. Don’t forget to drive safely. Uber is offering 50% off 2 rides to or from HNO events and will donate for each ride up to $2000.
It is always important to remember the most important rule to follow before a long night of partying in New Orleans. Eat before you drink. Stop by Mulate’s Cajun Restaurant for some great New Orleans food that will keep you energized until the party is over. Hope to see you this Halloween Weekend in great costumes.
