The Rising of Robin Barnes
In New Orleans, we love all types of music from Cajun Music to Jazz. So, in order to help you plan your Thursday night, we have some great suggestions for some music fun.
Start out at Mulate’s for a bite to eat, maybe a cocktail, and listen to the sounds of LA TOUCHÉ which starts tat 7pm and continues until 10pm. LA TOUCHÉ is a New Orleans Louisiana Traditional Cajun Band that has entertained people around the world since 1987.
Next, stop into the Foundation Room starting at 10pm to enjoy the sounds of Robin Barnes who is “The Songbird of New Orleans.” Robin Barnes fuses her power voice with jazz tunes and sultry R & B vibes in the intimate setting of the famous Foundation Room. The songstress from New Orleans grew up in a household of musicians with her family’s jazz band, The Soul Heirs, and her cousin Dave Bartholomew (who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his role in producing early rhythm and blues song) and is honored to be the next generation of greats coming out of her city.
